Water Treatment Technologies
Reverse Osmosis (RO)
Water treatment and water treatment technologies are an essential line of defense to remove contaminants and bacteria before the delivery of clean, potable water supplies for consumption. Water sources can be subject to contamination and therefore require appropriate treatment to remove disease-causing agents.
Reverse osmosis (RO) is a pressure-driven membrane process that has been recognized as the leading technology widely applied for Hard water filtration, Ion removal, seawater desalination, and water reclamation.
Making advantage of over 30 years of advancement in RO technology including membrane module, process design, and optimization we have led to significant improvement in separation performance, dramatic energy reduction in RO process, and brought in more commercial applications.
We aim to provide solutions for the challenges of this technology as well as its wide applications such as concentration polarization and membrane fouling of various RO applications.
Softener
DM Plants
Water is considered ‘hard’ when it has excessive levels of calcium and magnesium dissolved in it. Hard Water can lead to the following Water problems :
Scale build-up in pipes, resulting in decreased flow rates, Scale build-up on heating and cooling systems, leading to increased electricity costs and breakdowns, White film on glass surfaces and staining on Water taps, Increased laundry costs due to hard Water reacting with soap and laundry detergents.
The Water Softening Plants are designed to produce treated water to suit various applications. Treated Water is of consistent quality with low residual hardness throughout the service cycle. The high synthetic resin is used to exchange Sodium ions with hardness forming Calcium and Magnesium ions. After producing desired output, the resin is regenerated with (NaCI) Sodium Chloride solution after which the unit is again ready to deliver the next batch. The Water Softening Plant units are available with different models. The difference between these models is in the capacity of the resin used for each model. These units are easy to operate and maintenance-free.
Demineralization is the process of removing mineral salts from Water by using the ion exchange process. Demineralized Water is Water completely free (or almost) of dissolved minerals.
Demineralized Water also known as Deionized Water; Water that has had its mineral ions removed. Mineral ions such as cations of sodium, calcium, iron, copper, etc, and anions such as chloride, sulfate, nitrate, etc are common ions present in Water. Deionization is a physical process that uses specially-manufactured ion exchange resins which provides an ion exchange site for the replacement of the mineral salts in Water with Water forming H+ and OH- ions. Because the majority of water impurities are dissolved salts, deionization produces high purity water that is generally similar to distilled water, and this process is quick and without scale build-up. De-mineralization technology is the proven process for the treatment of Water. A DM Water System produces mineral-free Water by operating on the principles of ion exchange, Degasification, and polishing. Demineralized Water System finds wide application in the field of heating, steam, power, process, and cooling.
